Behind the Camera-About Me
I adore photography.
As a child I can remember having a genuine curiosity for the art of photography and the way film worked, was processed and printed. I remember saving up from my babysitting jobs to purchase my first camera, a Nikon 150, from a local camera shop when I was 13 years old. I remember spending what seemed like a fortune on it ($350) and spending an even larger fortune on film and developing costs.
Times and technology have changed, and over 20 years later, I am still in love. In love with the lens and what it captures, the light that truly makes an image dreamy, the eye and what it sees, the ears that hear the story, and the mind that morphs it all into one memorable piece of art.
I desire for each one of my photographs to be art. Art to be hung with pride on the walls of homes. Art to be given to loved ones; art that encompasses your family, your friends and most importantly your memories. I capture the here and now. The everyday. From true love's kiss-to teeny tiny feet, I want it all. I want it all to be locked away for safekeeping. Locked in a photograph so it cannot be forgotten.
My motive: Pure Love. I love what I do. I love sharing what I do with others. I love being flexible and being able to work from home, allowing more time to spend with my family-my wonderful husband Aaron, our son Zeke who is 10, and our daughter Joslyn who is 7 already...where does does the time go!?
I started my business in Sept of 2009 and am so pleased to achieved a balance of the love of photography, running a business and being a work at home Mommy! I owe a huge thank you to all my clients that have allowed me this great privilege to follow my dreams and passion!
I hope to speak to you soon and capture some special moments for your family. In the meantime don't forget to snap lots of photos of your own!
